Review Process
Peer Review Policy
The Bulletins of Natural and Applied Sciences (BNAS) is committed to ensuring the quality, integrity, and fairness of its publication process. To achieve this, the journal employs a double-blind peer review process, in which both the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed throughout the review procedure.
Key Features of the Peer Review Process:
Initial Screening:
All submitted manuscripts are first assessed by the Editorial Office for compliance with journal guidelines, scope, and basic quality standards (originality, clarity, ethical compliance).
Double-Blind Review:
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two independent expert reviewers. Authors’ identities are not disclosed to reviewers, and reviewers’ identities are not revealed to authors.
Reviewer Evaluation:
Reviewers evaluate manuscripts on the basis of originality, methodology, scientific rigor, clarity of presentation, and significance of findings. They provide constructive comments and recommendations (accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject).
Editorial Decision:
The Editor-in-Chief or handling editor considers the reviewers’ recommendations and makes the final decision on the manuscript.
Revisions:
Authors receiving revision requests are expected to address reviewers’ comments thoroughly and resubmit within the stipulated time frame. Revised manuscripts may be re-evaluated by the same reviewers.
Final Acceptance:
Only manuscripts that meet the scientific and ethical standards of BNAS are accepted for publication.
